On Sunday 23rd April, 2006 we
attended our 5th cat show. The Northern Feline
Fancy of Qld Inc. where we entered Violet in the 3 kitten rings. The judges
were, Ring 1 Jan White, Ring 2 Jan Turney and Ring 3 Liz Haimes. Comments about
Violet included, firm, beautiful, nice tail, stunning, beautiful odd eyes, very
nice type, nice tail, huge ears, spectacular type, if her coat was all in (she
had a slightly patchy kitten coat), she would have blitzed the field, lovely
tail, beautiful elegant neck, big ears, high cheek bones, lovely,
Violet was judged best Devon kitten in two rings, second best kitten in one ring. She was also judged 5th best overall kitten, and 6th best overall kitten. There were 33 kittens in group 3.
Devons are judged in Group 3 which consists of Russian Blue, British Shorthair, Manx, Scottish Fold, Abyssinian, Somali, Australian Mist, Burmese, Burmilla, Bombay, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, Korat, Bengal, Singapura, and Tonkinese breeds. Any of these breeds may be entered. They have separate classes i.e. kittens, open (entire), desexed. Cats and kittens in these classes are judged separately. Each separate breed is judged, and the judges nominate their best of breed, they may or may not also nominate the rest of the cats in order of preference. Once each separate breed is judged, the judges will then nominate their best 5 or 10 best cats overall (depending on how many cats are entered).
On Sunday 6th July, 2003 we attended our 4th cat Show. The Siamese & Shorthair Cat club, where we entered Molly and Mariko in 3 rings. The Judges were Ring 1 David Mare, Ring 2 Judy Lewis and Ring 3 Cheryl Uren.
Comments about Molly included
Very pretty colour, good profile, well coated, and good leg length. Comments
about Mariko included well coated, nice nose blaze, beautiful fabulous coat,
nice ears, good leg length. Molly and Mariko were judged 3rd and 4th best
Devon in the 3 rings.
On Sunday the 23rd of March, 2003 we attended our 3rd cat show. The Siamese & Oriental Cat Club, where we entered Molly in 3 rings. The judges were Ring 1 Carolynne Power, Ring 2 Jan Wylie, and Ring 3 Terry Barrett.
Comments about Molly included:
Strong chin, good tail, great eye shape and
colour, nice type, nice colour,
slight lack of coat. Molly was judged second best Devon in 2 rings, and only
missed out on first in one ring because her full coat hasn't come through
yet.
On December 14th & 15th 2002 Javeron Narcissus attended a cat show in Hong Kong. On the first day he was placed 4th and 7th premier cat, and on the second day, he was placed 4th and 5th premier cat. We are so proud of him, as are his owners Raymond and Rachel. Comments by judges: nice balance of weight, nice boning, nice structure, very soft curly
coat (nice coat!), nice ears, round and bright eyes, nice profile of head.
Narcissus was entered into another show on Dec 13-14th, 2003, his results were
10th best Premier cat in one ring, and best short hair in another ring.

On Sunday the 30th of June 2002 we went to our second show, the Rex Cat Club Show. Once again we took Kailah, Mariko and Blondie. We entered them in 3 rings as before.
In ring 1, the judge was V. Cashman, ring 2 the judge was A. Raymond, and ring 3 the judge was J. Clough.
Comments about Blondie included: beautiful head, nice face, good ears, short muzzle, beautiful ear placement good width chest, lovely size ears, nice chin, beautiful
cute coat, muscular, wavy nice coat, short chin, lovely coat, not bad chin, great nose break, good ears, lovely condition, nice high cheeks. Blondie was judged BEST Devon kitten in ring 1, and was judged 5th best kitten overall in ring 1.
Comments about Mariko included: lovely coat, good chin, beautiful eyes, high cheeks,
not bad ears, lovely overall condition, eye colour marvellous, beautiful coat condition, nice strong chin, feels beautiful, stand well,
Mariko was judged 3rd Best Devon in ring 3.
Comments about Kailah included: very nice type, great tail - head - ear position, nice neck, good coat, very nice feel, lovely coat coverage, good ears, good eyes, not bad chin,
good break, lovely high cheeks. Kailah was judged BEST Devon in ring 2, 3rd best Devon in ring 1, and was judged 5th best cat overall in ring 2.
On Sunday the 16th of June 2002 we went to our first show, The Federated Longhair Breeders Association Cat Show. We had a lot of fun, and were very proud of our cats. We met some nice people and saw some lovely cats. We took Kailah, Mariko and Blondie. We entered Kailah & Mariko in 3 rings for group 3 cats, and Blondie in 3 rings for group 3 kittens. 3 rings mean that they are judged 3 times by 3 different judges.
Group 3 consists of the Russian, British Shorthair, Manx, Scottish Fold, Abyssinian, Somali, Australian Mist, Burmese, Burmilla, Bombay, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, Korat, Bengal, Singapura, and Tonkinese breeds. Comments about Blondie included: brilliant coat, lovely wide ears, lovely ear tuffs, good tail, lovely head, good neck, well coated, not too bad a profile, unbelievable coat, nice nose break, great ears. Blondie was judged BEST Devon kitten in 2 rings, and RESERVE in the 3rd ring. She was also judged 10th best kitten overall in ring 1.
Comments about Mariko included: fabulous eyes, excellent coat, wonderful coat, deep blue eyes, beautiful, lovely, amazing eyes, soft body, lovely blue eyes (I think they liked her eyes). Mariko was judged 4th best Devon in ring 2.
Comments about Kailah included: nicely coated, elegant neck, nice ear tuffs, wonderful face, good fur, beautiful, good coat, thick tail, very nice neck, nice head, lovely eyes, bright eyes, lovely chest, nice tuffs. Kailah was judged BEST Devon in ring 1, RESERVE in ring 3, she was also judged 5th best cat overall in ring 1, 7th best cat overall in ring 2, and 8th best cat overall in ring 3.
